Keeping the Community Safe

ADOPT: Our primary goal is to find happy homes for our shelter pets. Our shelter has reopened to the public and we can’t wait to see you in person to help you find your new furry family member!

Visit our Adoptions Process page to learn more.

Precious Paws is currently open to the public. If you are interested in helping Precious Paws by adopting a shelter pet, please visit our shelter to meet and adopt your new Furry Soulmate!

In an effort to keep our staff, volunteers, pets and the community safe, we are open to the public by appointment only.  A full list of the safety precautions we are taking at this time can be found in the section below.

There are three important things you can do right now to help us:

VOLUNTEER: There are a variety of ways you can help support Precious Paws pets during this challenging time.

In addition to monetary donations, we also need help with things like; volunteering to clean cages, helping to take photos of our adoptable shelter pets, and clerical work.

Visit our Volunteer page to learn more.

DONATE: The most immediate and impactful way you can help our shelter pets in need RIGHT NOW, is to make a donation to Precious Paws.

Donations to Precious Paws go directly to helping us continue our life-saving work, caring and finding homes for homeless pets. Our team, our volunteers and our shelter pets appreciate your generosity very much!

We want you to know that we are working hard to keep our shelter thoroughly sanitized to ensure it is safe for you to come in to visit with, and adopt our shelter pets. We greatly appreciate everyone who is offering to help by adopting a shelter pet in need of a forever home right now!

Steps we are taking to ensure our shelter is safe for the community:

  • We have implemented maximum capacity restrictions.
  • Hand sanitizing stations have been installed at all shelter entrances & throughout our shelters.
  • Social distancing practices are being strictly followed.
  • Members of the community who are high-risk for COVID-19 may contact us to schedule an appointment to come in privately (with no other appointments scheduled) to ensure that you can stay healthy and safe while adopting a rescue pet from us.
